Incredible 1950s prom dress
- Fit and flare silhouette
- Tea length
- Sweetheart neckline with red sequin detailing
- A piece of tulle is attached on either side of the bust; depending on fit, this could be a halter strap or pulled down for a little tulle pouf over the bust. On my dress form, using it as a halter strap made it sit a little high above the waist (see pictures).
- Lined bodice with boning
- Full skirt with three layers of tulle with sequins in circle designs over taffeta, backed with what feels like muslin
- Side metal zipper with hook-and-eye closures at top and at waist

Shoulder to shoulder: measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Sleeve length: measured from the shoulder seam to the cuff
Rise: measured from the crotch seam to the waist
Inseam: measured from the crotch seam to the hem
